1. Q: Which edition of Windows Password Rescuer should I choose?

A: It depends on Which version of Windows Operating System install on your computer and which type of password you want to recover.

If you are using Windows 11, 10/8.1/8, 7/Vista, XP/2000 and want to recover local user account password, you can choose the Personal Edition.

If you are using Windows Server 2022/2019/2016/2012, 2008/2003/2000 and want to recover local user account password, the Professional Edition is your best choice.

If your System is Windows Server 2022/2019/2016/2012, 2008/2003/2000 and your computer is a domain controller, you can choose Advanced edition.

2. Q: The computer asks me for administrator password when I try to download or run the software. What should I do?

A: The computer asked for the administrator password was because it is under secure and when you are trying to run some program it will ask for the permission. And for this, you may download the program onto another computer and burn the disc then insert the burned disc to the locked one to reset the password.

Note, when you want to download and install Windows Password Rescuer on another computer which installed Windows 10/8.1/8/7/Vista or Windows server 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012, 2008, you'd better to right click the downloaded program and choose Run as administrator. If you are not login as administrator, you have to provide the information it asked.

3. Q: I don't know or fail to boot the locked computer from the burned CD/DVD, How to do?

A: Set computer to boot from CD/DVD. Refer to How to set computer to boot from CD/DVD-ROM.

If you cannot boot from burned CD/DVD, please make sure that whether it is a bootable CD/DVD and you correctly insert it to your CD/DVD-RM. Make sure you have choose the right device for the first boot option.

4. Q: I don't know or fail to boot the locked computer from the burned USB, What should I do?

A: Set computer to boot from USB. Refer to How to set computer to boot from USB flash drive.

If you cannot boot from burned USB Flash Drive, please make sure that whether it is a bootable USB Flash Drive and you correctly plug it to your computer. Make sure you have choose the right device for the first boot option.

5. Q:What's the difference between the trial version and full version?

A: The trial version of Windows Password Rescuer can only list all the user accounts of Windows, but cannot reset their passwords. The full version lists all user names and reset any password you would like to reset.
